Secret 7″ Update
Secret 7″ Revealed
I can now reveal the sleeve I designed for this year’s Secret 7″! I created an original linocut and printed it directly onto the record sleeve for Tame Impala’s track ‘The Less I Know The Better’. If you want to know where I got the idea for the image from then watch the video for the song, but be warned it is a bit risque!
Cambridge Folk Festival Design
Here is the final print for the Cambridge Folk Festival project!
Work In Progress For Cambridge Folk Festival
Earlier this year I created a design for the Cambridge Folk Festival. I chose to do a reduction linocut and to experiment with ‘rainbow rolling’!
‘Born Slippy’ Linocut
Here is the lino block I carved for my Secret 7″ design!
Pink Poodle Linocut
The other week, whilst showing my sister how to linocut, I made a simple Valentine’s card with a pink poodle on it (not much to do with Valentine’s I know!)
I have been working on a few projects over the last couple of weeks, which I am hoping to be able show you soon, one of which was a submission to the Secret 7″ project, fingers crossed!
Seahorse Linocut
Over the holidays I was asked to make a linocut of a seahorse. I used a reduction method to create this print.
New work added to gallery
I have updated the gallery on my website with new work such as my entry for the 2015 Prize For Illustration. Take a look…
Christmas Card Design
I created a linocut of a dog wearing a Christmas jumper for a Christmas card design. I actually entered it into Jackson’s Art Supplies linocut Christmas card competition and although I did not win I received a £5 voucher for my efforts!
